Garden Paradise
 
"Garden Paradise" is based on a photograph that I took at the Seattle Botanical Garden. This garden landscape comes alive with luscious colorful foliage and flowers. The pink tree is painted with confident brush strokes and seems to sway in the breeze. Most of my painterly pieces have an underpainting. I have discovered that the underpainting that you choose can determine what kind of "feeling" one gets from the overall piece. The choice of a green underpainting, I believe, seals the natural ambiance and really "puts you in the thick of it."
